  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups buttermilk
  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter (melted then cooled – divided)
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary (chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse celery, onion, carrots, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper until finely chopped.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the vegetable mixture for 10-12 minutes until softened; set aside to cool.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  4. In a large bowl, mix bread flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk and melted butter.
  6. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients until a dough forms; gently fold in the cooled vegetable mixture.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
  8. Brush baked biscuits with rosemary-infused butter and return to the oven for an additional 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
