- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1โ2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

Instructions
- Prepare the filling by combining sliced strawberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, granulated sugar, and vanilla in a bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- For the dough, mix flour, salt, and sugar; cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add cold water until combined. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into rectangles.
- Assemble by placing a spoonful of strawberry preserves on half of the rectangles. Top with remaining rectangles and seal edges.
