- 8 ounces (227g) fresh strawberries (about 10 medium strawberries) (hulled and chopped)
- ยพ cup (180mL) milk
- ยฝ cup (113g) unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 large egg
- ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract
- the juice of half of a lemon (about 2 Tablespoons)
- zest of one lemon
- ยผ cup (50g) granulated sugar for the glaze

- 2 Tablespoons (30mL) warm water for the glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and zest.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold in the strawberries.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While baking, mix sugar, lemon juice, and warm water for the glaze.
- After baking, let cool for 10 minutes before glazing.
