- 1/3 cup natural or dutch-process unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons warm milk
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
- maraschino cherries

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (177Β°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until combined.
- Warm milk and dissolve espresso powder; add to the dough until creamy.
