  • 100 g semisweet chocolate (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, hot coffee, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Grease two 9-inch round cake pans and pour equal amounts of batter into each.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Mix in melted chocolate and orange zest until smooth.
