Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 small yellow onion (diced)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 stalks scallions (minced)
- 1 Korean red pepper (sliced)
- 1 serrano pepper (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Soft boil the eggs by bringing water to a boil in a medium saucepan with salt and vinegar. Carefully lower room-temperature eggs into boiling water and simmer for 6 minutes.
- Chill the boiled eggs in ice water for 10 minutes before gently peeling them.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, honey, diced onion, garlic, scallions, sliced peppers, and sesame seeds to create the marinade.
- Place peeled eggs in an airtight container and pour over the marinade until fully submerged. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or preferably overnight.
