  • 2 tsp. sea salt, divided
  • 1 tsp. fresh cracked pepper, divided
  • 1 tsp. oregano, divided
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika, divided
  • 8 oz. turkey strips
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 chicken thighs
  • 1 large shallot
  • 3 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 large peaches, sliced
  • Fresh basil and additional fresh thyme for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook turkey strips for about 3 minutes until dark red. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sear chicken thighs for 1โ€“2 minutes per side until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. Sautรฉ shallots in the skillet for 2 minutes; add grated garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth and scrape the bottom for flavor.
  6. Stir in butter and honey until melted; return chicken and thyme to the pan.
  7. Spoon sauce over chicken, cover, and bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Add sliced peaches on top, spooning more sauce over them, then broil for an additional 3โ€“5 minutes.
