- 1 tsp. oregano, divided
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. paprika, divided
- 8 oz. turkey strips
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 6 chicken thighs
- 1 large shallot
- 3 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 large peaches, sliced
- Fresh basil and additional fresh thyme for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook turkey strips for about 3 minutes until dark red. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and sear chicken thighs for 1โ2 minutes per side until browned. Remove from pan.
- Sautรฉ shallots in the skillet for 2 minutes; add grated garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Deglaze the pan with chicken broth and scrape the bottom for flavor.
- Stir in butter and honey until melted; return chicken and thyme to the pan.
- Spoon sauce over chicken, cover, and bake for 15 minutes.
- Add sliced peaches on top, spooning more sauce over them, then broil for an additional 3โ5 minutes.
