Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1.2 kg Hokkaido pumpkin
- 1 kg starchy potatoes
- 1 garlic clove
- 200 ml milk
- 200 ml cream
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Freshly grated nutmeg (pinch)
- 200 g grated cheese (e.g., Gruyère)
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 Β°C (upper/lower heat) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
- Wash the pumpkin thoroughly, halve it, remove the seeds, and slice into thin pieces. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- Layer the pumpkin and potato slices in the greased baking dish, sprinkling lightly with salt.
- In a mixing bowl, finely chop the garlic and combine it with milk, cream, rosemary, freshly grated nutmeg, 50 g of cheese, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the layered vegetables.
- Top with the remaining cheese and season lightly again. Bake in the oven for 40β45 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the cheese is golden brown.
