- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth

- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1Β½ cups whole milk
- Β½ cup chicken broth

- Β½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add rice and stir to coat. Pour in chicken broth and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until rice is tender.
- For the creamy sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth; gradually add milk and broth while whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in garlic powder, thyme, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan until melted.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet with rice and pour the creamy sauce over everything. Stir gently to combine and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
