Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased and parchment-lined loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. For the cream cheese filling, beat softened cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the banana batter into the loaf pan; sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  7. Spread the cream cheese filling over the first layer of batter and top with remaining banana batter.
  8. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture and gently swirl through the batter.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean (some cream cheese is acceptable).
  10. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
