Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cherry Filling: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine frozen cherries and granulated sugar. Stir in cold water and cook until bubbling. Mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth; add to the pan and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Make the Dough: In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water for about 5 minutes until frothy. In a large bowl, mix whole milk and sugar, then add eggs and yeast mixture. Gradually add flour and salt; mix until dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes.
