  • 320 g ready rolled puff pastry
  • 400 g beef sausages
  • 100 g apple sauce
  • 20 g dried apples
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 egg (beaten) for topping
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for sprinkling
  • ½ tsp dried thyme for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (fan-assisted) or 210°C (non-fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef sausages (casings removed), apple sauce, dried apples, thyme, and sea salt. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Cut the puff pastry in half lengthwise and place one portion of the filling along the center of each strip.
  4. Brush one edge of the pastry with beaten egg, then roll tightly over the filling until sealed.
  5. Cut into desired lengths and arrange on the prepared tray.
  6. Brush each roll with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds and thyme on top.
  7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
