  • 16 corn tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/4 teaspoon ancho chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups purple cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons red apple vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cod by coating it in a mixture of avocado oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, sea salt, ancho chili powder, and black pepper.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and cook the coated cod filets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine thinly sliced green cabbage, purple cabbage, lime juice, chopped cilantro, honey, salt, and pepper to make the slaw.
  4. Blend avocados with garlic, lime juice, red apple vinegar, olive oil, cumin, red pepper flakes, and salt to create the avocado crema.
  5. Warm corn tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing cooked cod on tortillas and topping with cilantro lime slaw and avocado crema.
