Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and prepare a greased loaf pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the butter mixture alternating with milk until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, add half of the apple mixture, then repeat with remaining batter and apples. Gently swirl with a knife.
  6. Bake for 50โ€“55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled bread.
